Here is my tips for printing a website using the Chrome browser. Since the printing of websites has become less popular the functionality to do it properly has disappeared from my browser of choice, Firefox. Sometimes I save these websites to my computer or clip them to Evernote, but for really good articles I want to print them onto good old reliable paper.
As such I don’t trust the internet, or the cloud for that matter, to always have a copy of articles or websites that are important to me. I believe in the strategy of not putting all your eggs in one basket.

You can prevent this behavior by changing the settings. Sometimes it downloads large files you don’t want or follows links to parts of a site you are not interested in. It is good to keep an eye on SiteSucker when it is downloading to make sure that it is behaving as expected.In most cases the default settings will suffice.

This makes it possible to browse the offline copy without the internet. The website will have been “localized”, meaning all the links will have been altered to work on your local machine. You can now click on Open File to open your downloaded website in your default web browser. When the download is finished the window will look the same as before you started except that the Files Downloaded counter will have a value larger than zero. The program will continue to download all the files on the site. The lower half of the screen should start flashing with URLs and filenames. Paste the URL of the website you are interested in downloading in Web URL box, and click download. You should be greeted by the window above. Newer versions are only available through the app store. Get the version for your iteration of OSX. I will post Windows instructions in the future. Note that these instructions are for a Mac using OSX. If there is a useful website that you want to save for posterity you can use the following method.

To backup these files, you can archive them to iCloud Drive or Dropbox or transfer them to your computer using AirDrop, iTunes File Sharing (macOS 10.14), or the Finder (macOS 10.15).Contrary to popular belief the web is not static. The Documents screen lists all your SiteSucker documents.
The Settings screen allows you to tailor the download by specifying the logging options, file limits, allowed paths, permitted file types, etc. When the download is finished, select the Downloads screen to access the downloaded site. When you launch the app later, SiteSucker will resume the download from where it left off. If SiteSucker is in the middle of a download when you exit the app, SiteSucker will pause the download. You can suspend a download by tapping the Pause button ( ) and continue downloading by tapping the Resume button ( ). To stop the download manually, tap the Stop button ( ) in the toolbar. When SiteSucker exhausts all links, it stops automatically. The status of the download is shown in the middle of the SiteSucker screen. To download a password-protected site, SiteSucker provides a browser that allows you to log in to the site before starting the download. The SiteSucker screen allows you to start downloading a site, shows you the current status of the download, and provides a toolbar for controlling the download.
